1. Who do I make my rent out to?
Rent must be made out to the entity named on the first page of your lease next to "Lessor".
2. Where do I send my rent?

3.Who do I contact for maintenance?
Contact Caitlin at Savage Properties to report all maintenance issues at 617-713-4444, via email at
ch@savageproperties.net or you can submit a Maintenance Request Form. For all maintenance emergencies
after hours when the office is closed, follow the instructions on the voicemail.
4.When will I get my security deposit back?
Your security deposit will be mailed out 30 days after your lease expires and you move out.
5. How do you divide returned security deposits?
We don’t; security deposits are returned to the one person designated on the lease. It is their job to distribute it to any other roommates.
6.What happens to my security deposit if I sublet my room?
You are responsible for getting your portion of the security deposit from the person subletting. We do not return any of the security deposit before the end of the lease.
7. I want to sublet; do I have to do anything?
Yes, You must have written permission to sublet. Please follow these instructions carefully.
1. You must find someone to sublet your room. We can not help you with this.
2. When you have found someone. Call 617-713-4444 or email ch@savageproperties.net with your address, name, phone number, name of subletter, subletters phone number and the exact dates they will be moving in and out of your unit.
3. The subletter will then need to fill out an application. This can be filled out online on our website http://www.savageproperties.net/forms.html
4. There is a $20 credit report fee that must be paid by the current tenant on the lease.
Once this fee and the completed application are received by Savage Properties, we will run a credit check on the prospective subletter. The application and credit check will be reviewed and the subletter will either be approved or not approved by Savage Properties. You will receive written notice as to whether or not your subletter has been approved. This all must be done BEFORE the subletter moves in. After you receive written notice, the subletter will be allowed to move-in on the date that was given to Savage Properties as their official move-in date.
Please note: If you do not follow these guidelines for subletting you will be in breach of your lease and there will be cause for eviction.

9. I want to renew my lease what do I have to do?
You will be sent a letter in the second week of December detailing what you need to do to renew your lease.
10. What do I do with trash?
You will be provided with trash bins with lids at the property. It is your responsibility to keep trash covered in the provided bins. The bins must be put on the curb after 5pm every Monday and Thursday nights for trash pick up on Tuesday and Friday mornings. If you need more trash bins at your property, call 617-713-4444 to put in a maintenance request.
11. I locked myself out, what do I do?
Monday-Friday 9-5 come by the office at 1607 Tremont Street to sign out a key to get back in. You must show ID proof to show you are on the lease and leave the ID/Credit Card/etc. at the office as collatoral until you return the key. Weekends and after 5pm call 617-713-4444 and follow the instructions on the voicemail.
12. I lost my key how do I get a new one?
Call the office 617-713-4444 or send an email to ch@savageproperties.net to check the status of getting a replacement key. Once we have a replacement key available for you, it can be picked up at the office. There is a $10.00 replacement key charge for all keys (including mailbox keys). We can not give you the new key until you pay the replacement key charge.
